Ratan Gill
B.Sc., MPT, Registered Physiotherapist
My name is Ratan Gill. I am the Owner, physiotherapist at Pure Motion Physiotherapy in Steveston. I have grown and been part of this community since I was very young. I have been served by our community in many ways, be it getting tennis lessons at Steveston Community Centre, playing for the Seafair Islanders hockey team, or attending Richmond Secondary School. These experiences helped me to become a Division 1 tennis player at the University of Portland and later took me on a journey for training to be a physiotherapist.
I earned my Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in Australia where I worked with athletes, amputees, patients with spinal cord injuries, and seniors. As mentioned prior to this, I received my Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Portland where I played Division 1 Tennis. I continue to pursue further education and physiotherapy skills to provide better service to our patients.
I have a passion for health and fitness that comes from growing up playing tennis, hockey, and soccer. Before pursuing physiotherapy, I coached tennis for two years working with young children and adults.
My specialty is in manual therapy, exercise, IMS (dry needling), and education to help clients reach their highest potential and get back to doing the things they love. I take an interest in providing evidence-based practice to ensure everyone gets the best care possible.
In my free time, you might see me running or cycling through Steveston, or at a local tennis court playing with friends.
